 वरूण धवन का जन्म (24 अप्रैल 1987) मुंबई में हुआ था। वरूण ने अपनी शुरुआती पढ़ाई H.R. (1) सफलता का सही मतलब फिल्म का सफल होना नहीं है बल्कि उस प्रक्रिया के दौरान आप कितना enjoy करते हो, वो है।

The real meaning of success is not the success of the film but how much you enjoy during that process.

 

 (2) कभी-कभी आपको समझना पड़ता है, हर कोई आपका चाहने वाला नहीं होता।

Sometimes you have to understand, not everyone is going to love you.

 

(3) अच्छाई एक ऐसी चीज है जिसका लोग फायदा उठाते हैं, और अगर आप लंबे समय तक एक अच्छे इंसान बने रहना चाहते हैं, तो आपको यह सुनिश्चित करना चाहिए कि बहुत से लोग आपका फायदा न उठाएं क्योंकि तब आप कड़वे हो जाते हैं।

(26) फिल्म का बजट सबसे अहम है। लेकिन ये फिल्म की किस्म पर निर्भर करता है। Story और script सबसे ज्यादा महत्वपूर्ण है इसमें कोई शक नहीं, लेकिन अलग तरह की फिल्म सही बजट में बनानी चाहिए। इसलिए सही बजट का आकलन जरूरी है। फिल्म के ओवरबजट होने पर इरादों पर पानी फिर सकता है।

The budget of the film is the most important. But it depends on the type of film. Story and script are the most important no doubt, But a different kind of film should be made in the right budget. That's why it is important to estimate the right budget. If the film is overbudgeted, the intentions can be dashed.

 

(27) बॉक्स ऑफिस के आंकड़ों का केवल यही मतलब नहीं है की फिल्म ने कितने पैसे कमाए। मेरे लिए उन आंकड़ों का मतलब ये है कि कितने लोगों ने टिकट कटाकर उस पर फिल्म देखा।

The box office figures are not the only means of how much money the film made. To me those figures mean how many people saw the movie on it after deducting the ticket.

 

(28) मेरे लिए fitness मेरी रोजमर्रा की जिंदगी का हिस्सा है। लेकिन fitness का मतलब बड़ी मांसपेशियों का होना नहीं है, इसका अर्थ है सक्रिय, तेज और लचीला होना।

For me, fitness is a part of my everyday life. But fitness does not mean having big muscles, it means being active, quick, and flexible.

My parents brought me up to be comfortable in one’s own body. And I have always been comfortable in my own skin.

Every film is like a baby for me, it's like my own child. I feel protective and aggressive each time my film hit theatres.

(47) मैं कई exercises का mix और match करता हूं। लेकिन इससे पहले कि मैं कुछ भी करूं, मैं warm up के लिए जाता हूं, क्योंकि यह प्रमुख महत्व का है।

I mix and match many exercises. But before I do anything, I go for a warm up, as it is of prime importance.

When I was growing up, I heard horror stories about producers losing their houses overnight. No matter who the family is, hearing of them getting evicted is very sad.

I used to have lot of arguments with my mother due to a lot of bruises on my body for trying my hand at wrestling. I used to say, 'I am Rock,' and I would get slapped.

I always put myself in the audience's seat, whether it is a film like 'Judwaa 2' or 'Badlapur.' There has to be a message; the core story needs to have a hook, which should be out of the ordinary.

The real stars who have dedicated their services to the film industry are Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Akshay Kumar. I do not come in this league at all.

(89) 'बद्रीनाथ की दुल्हनिया' के बाद महिलाओं के प्रति मेरा पूरा नजरिया बदल गया। मैं एक लड़का हूं जिसका पालन-पोषण मुंबई में हुआ है और मेरा मानना है कि मैं खुले विचारों वाला हूं। लेकिन मैंने महसूस किया कि ऐसी बहुत सी चीजें हैं जिन पर मेरे दिमाग का विस्तार नहीं हुआ है।

My whole outlook towards women changed after 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania.' I am a boy who is brought up in Mumbai, and I believe I am open-minded. But I realised that there were so many things my mind was not expanded to.

 

(90) जब मैं कॉलेज में था तो मुझे एक लड़की से प्यार हो गया था। लेकिन दुर्भाग्य से, उसके पिता ने शादी को मंजूरी नहीं दी। वह मुझे पसंद नहीं करते थे क्योंकि मैं फिल्म उद्योग में शामिल होने की कगार पर था।

When I was in college, I fell in love with a girl. But unfortunately, her father did not approve the marriage. He did not like me as I was on the verge of joining the film industry.

I have a large heart, and there are many special people in my heart like my mom, my dad and brother and his wife.

 

(92) 'star' शब्द का दुरुपयोग किया गया है। एक अच्छी फिल्म कभी असफल नहीं होती। और अगर आप  star बनने के लिए अभिनेता बने हैं, तो आपके इस पेशे में होने का कारण गलत है। यह कला का दुरुपयोग करने के बराबर है।

The word 'star' is misused. A good film will never fail. And if you have become an actor to become a star, then your reason of being in this profession is wrong. It amounts to abusing the art.

 

(93) मैं एक खिलाड़ी के तौर पर अपनी पहचान नहीं बनाना चाहता। मैं टेलीविजन पर plastic की मुस्कान नहीं देना चाहता और न ही 'कोई टिप्पणी नहीं' कहना चाहता।

I don't want to be known as a player. I don't want to give plastic smiles on television and say 'No comments.'

 

(94) फिल्म निर्माण एक बहुत ही गंभीर काम है, और मैं उस पर ध्यान केंद्रित करना चाहता हूं।

Filmmaking is a very serious job, and I want to concentrate on that.

 

(95) मेरा पहला उचित रिश्ता कॉलेज में 16 साल का था।

My first proper relationship was at 16 in college.

I'm not invincible. I am not picture-perfect. The reason I am here is not because of the money; if I get to entertain people and put a smile on their face, I feel content.

I don't want to be in the news for anything negative.

 

(98) सलमान भाई अद्भुत हैं, और वह हमारे सिनेमा के महान लोगों में से एक हैं, और मुझे नहीं लगता कि मेरी तुलना सलमान खान से की जानी चाहिए।

Salman bhai is amazing, and he is one of the greats of our cinema, and I don't think I should be compared to Salman Khan.

I am passionate about cinema in general. Eventually, I am making films for people to watch and enjoy, but somewhere, I have to be satisfied, too. I want to be happy after doing a film.

I am restless like my father and do two-three things at a time.

 

(101) शाहरुख खान इतने सज्जन व्यक्ति हैं कि वह किसी को डराते नहीं हैं। वह और कुछ नहीं बल्कि सभी के लिए प्यारा हैं, और वह मेरे लिए बिल्कुल अद्भुत रहा है।

Shahrukh Khan is such a gentleman that he does not scare anyone. He is nothing but lovable to everyone, and he has been absolutely wonderful to me.

 

(102) मुझे लगता है कि सिर्फ तीन फिल्मों के बाद लोगों के लिए यह तय करना अनुचित है कि मेरी ताकत क्या है।

I think it's unfair for people to decide what my strength is after just three films.
