Everything is fine, sometimes taking leave from work, bunking class, getting low marks in an exam or sometimes quarreling with younger siblings, all goes well. When we are at the last stage of life, then these small things will make us laugh and the promotion of the company, continuous work 24 hours a day will not matter on that day. There are many things that I would probably do differently if I had a chance to live again. But I don't want to look back to see what I couldn't do.

 

(28) मैं चार बार शादी करने के बहुत करीब पहुँच गया था, और हर बार मैं किसी न किसी डर की वजह से पीछे हट गया। हर अवसर अलग था, लेकिन अब जब मैं इसमें शामिल लोगों को देखता हूँ, मैंने जो किया वो इतना बुरा नहीं था। मेरा मानना है, अगर शादी हो जाती तो ये और भी complex होता।

I came very close to getting married four times, and each time I held back because of some fear. Every occasion was different, but now that I look at the people involved, what I did wasn't that bad. I believe, it would have been more complex if the marriage had happened.

A hundred years from now, I want to see the Tata Group be bigger than it is now. More importantly, I expect the group to be recognized as the best in India, the best in the way we operate, the best in the products we offer, and the best in our value systems and ethics. (69) मुझे आशा है, आज से सौ साल बाद टाटा उपक्रम बहुत बड़ा होगा और भारत में सबसे श्रेष्ठ उपक्रम होगा। श्रेष्ठ होगा, अपने काम करने के तरीकों के लिए, श्रेष्ठ होगा बेहतरीन वस्तुओं के उत्पादन के लिए और श्रेष्ठ होगा अपने नीति और व्यवहारकुशलता के लिए।

I hope, a hundred years from now, the Tata venture will be huge and will be the best in India. The best will be for the way it works, the best for producing the best things, and the best for its ethics and tact.

(73) हर एक कार्य को करने का निश्चित समय होता है इसीलिए उसे निश्चित समय पर ही करना चाहिए सही समय पर किया काम हमेशा सही रहता है।

There is a fixed time to do every work, that is why it should be done at the fixed time, the work done at the right time is always right.

 

(74) हम सभी के पास कुछ खास गुण होते है, जिनको हम पहचान नहीं पाते है, अगर हम अपने गुणों की पहचान कर ले तो कोई भी काम नामुमकिन नहीं होता है

We all have some special qualities, which we do not recognize, if we identify our qualities then no work is impossible.

 

(75) अगर आपमें बदलाव लाने की इच्छा हो, तो आप बदलाव ला सकते हैं।

(76) अपने आस-पड़ोस लोगों से अक्सर सुनते होंगे कि यह काम नहीं हो सकता। कॉलेज से निकलने के बाद अब यह आप लोगों का कर्तव्य कि ऐसे गलत विचारों को खत्म करें। बहुत से ऐसे काम है जो हमारे देश में होनी चाहिए थे, लेकिन वे नहीं हो पाए। इनके पीछे जिम्मेदार ऐसी मानसिकता के लोग ही है, जो कहते हैं कि इस काम को करना असंभव है।

You will often hear from the people around you that this work cannot be done. After leaving the college, now it is your duty to eliminate such wrong thoughts. There are many such works which should have been done in our country, but they could not be done. Responsible behind these are people of such mentality, who say that it is impossible to do this work.

 

(77) मैं कभी भी इस बात मे विश्वास नहीं करता कि मैं सही निर्णय ले रहा हूँ या नहीं बस मैं निर्णय लेकर, उस लिए गए निर्णय को सही साबित करने में विश्वास रखता हूँ।

I never believe in whether I am taking the right decision or not, I just believe in taking a decision and justifying the decision taken.

 

(78) अपने चारों ओर नजर दौड़ाकर देखिए, दुनिया कामयाबी की मिसाल से भरी पड़ी है। तमाम बड़ी कंपनियों के उदाहरण हैं। जरा सोचिए इन कंपनियों को बनाने का आइडिया कहां से आया? माइक्रोसॉफ्ट, गूगल, फेसबुक, एप्पल, अमेजोन जैसी कंपनियां कहां से आई? ये कंपनियां अस्तित्व में आई जब किसी ने सोचा कि ये काम किया जा सकता है, ये मुमकिन है।

Look around you and see, the world is full of examples of success. There are many examples of big companies. Just think where did the idea to create these companies come from? Where did companies like Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Apple, Amazon come from? These companies came into existence when someone thought that this work can be done, it is possible.

 

(79) ध्यान रखें कि जीवन में कितने भी कामयाब क्यों ना हो जाए, विनम्रता कभी ना छोड़े।

Keep in mind that no matter how successful you are in life, never give up humility.

 

(80) कभी किसी नोबेल विजेता के पास बैठकर देखा है, आपने? वह आपको कभी महसूस नहीं होने देगा कि वह इतना बड़ा अवार्ड जीत चुका है। उनके आसपास के लोगों से ही आपको उनकी महानता के बारे में पता चल जाएगा।

Have you ever sat beside a Nobel Laureate and seen you? He will never let you feel that he has won such a big award. You will get to know about his greatness only from the people around him.

 

(81) दुनिया में करोड़ो लोग मेहनत करते हैं फिर भी सबको भिन्न-भिन्न परिणाम प्राप्त होते हैं. इस सब के लिए मेहनत करने का तरीका जिम्मेदार है इसलिए व्यक्ति को मेहनत करने के तरीके में सुधार करना चाहिए

Millions of people in the world work hard, yet everyone gets different results. The way of working is responsible for all this, so one should improve the way of working hard.
